The Weidt Group Announces New Stock Owners

October 17, 2007 (Minneapolis, MN)— The Weidt Group is pleased to announce its two newest stockholders, James Douglas, PE and Prasad Vaidya, International Assoc. AIA, LEED® AP. Mr. Douglas, based in the Minnetonka headquarters office, and Mr. Vaidya, based in the Berkeley, California office, have both been with The Weidt Group since 1998. They join John Weidt, Tom McDougall, Leo Steidel, John Melchert and David Eijadi as primary stockholders.

Jim Douglas is a program director and project manager for regional and national clients. He is a Professional Engineer with 15 years of experience in building sciences and energy conservation implementation and evaluation. Currently he is the President-elect of the Minnesota Chapter of ASHRAE. Mr. Douglas is a frequent presenter at local, regional and national conferences on energy efficiency and conservation planning.

Prasad Vaidya heads the LEED consulting practice at The Weidt Group, working on daylighting design, energy conservation and LEED certification projects in the Midwest and Southwestern U.S. He also leads The Weidt Group's internal research effort on the implementation and success of daylighting systems. Mr. Vaidya is currently a USGBC faculty member for LEED workshops across the country and is a member of the LEED IEQ Technical Advisory Group.

September 12, 2007 (Minneapolis, MN)— The Weidt Group announces the 30-year anniversary of the firm, providing Energy and Daylighting Design Assistance for high performance buildings on more than 500 public and private new construction projects in just the past 15 years. By giving its clients accurate information to make better decisions, better environmental outcomes are achieved. The Weidt Group is helping building owners to reduce greenhouse gasses by over 604 kilotons annually while saving millions of dollars in energy costs. Together with its clients, The Weidt Group has helped the Midwest become a recognized leader in building structures that perform better economically and better than required to meet the Kyoto Protocols for more than
15 years.

The Weidt Group is equally well-known by its pioneering software for architects, engineers and manufacturers. Once a revolutionary force in developing parametric software for the Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) environments of 20 years ago, it is now a forerunner in the design of object-oriented software that creates virtual products for modeling, publishing and manufacturing in real-time.

The Weidt Group was founded in 1977 by John Weidt, AIA, who, as of this year, turned over presidency of the company to Tom McDougall, PE, Assoc. AIA. Tom McDougall named President of The Weidt Group

July 16, 2007 (Minneapolis, MN)— The Weidt Group Board of Directors has elected Tom McDougall, PE, Assoc. AIA, President of the firm. McDougall, formerly Vice President and operations director for the firm's Energy Group, will now direct both its energy consulting and software development businesses.

McDougall joined The Weidt Group in 1987, having received Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Civil Engineering degrees from Iowa State University. For the past 20 years, he has provided leadership to grow The Weidt Group to its present status as a nationally respected leader in Energy Design McDougall is active in professional organizations such as IESNA and the AIA where he is a frequent speaker on the topics of energy and daylighting design. He is currently leading Minnesota's effort to benchmark the performance of all public buildings in the State.

John Weidt, AIA, who founded the firm in 1977 to account for and reduce the environmental impacts of building design and construction, will continue to provide leadership and vision to the company as its Chairman of the Board. He also plans to remain active in professional associations and further his environmental and energy conservation passions.

David Eijadi Inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects

July 13, 2006 (Minneapolis, MN)— The Weidt Group is pleased to announce that David Eijadi, Principal, has been inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). David Eijadi, FAIA, was recognized for his ongoing contribution to the profession through energy and daylighting design consulting. At a ceremony on June 9, 2006, Eijadi was among only 82 architects from across the country honored through elevation to the College of Fellows during the AIA National Convention and Design Exposition in Los Angeles.

Elevation to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of the architect as an individual, but also honors before the public and the profession a model architect who has made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level.

Recognized as an inventor and as a forerunner, pacesetter and educator for sustainable design practices, Eijadi and his colleagues at The Weidt Group assist fellow architects in their pursuit of environmentally appropriate design. The Energy Design Assistance programs he co-developed with utilities collectively save over 504 kilotons of air pollution and over 142 megawatts of peak energy annually. Among Eijadi's other notable project collaborations is the 2002 Pharmacia Building Q in Skokie, Illinois—the first LEED® Gold Certified laboratory building.
